Burn Permits

The open burn ban that had been in place has been lifted. If you intend to burn you must call a fire warden in town prior to burning to obtain a permit. The list of wardens is in the Town Report or you can call Chief Rick Looman or Assistant Chief Marty Forrett for more information.

Please keep in mind the following rules for safe burning:

· Always obtain a permit several days before you plan on burning

· Only burn natural materials, no tires or processed products

· Always have a hoseline ready and near the burn pile

· Never leave burning unattended, even for a short period of time

· If a fire starts to get out of control, call 911 immediately
